After waiting for some time, Reliance Jio has finally brought Amazon Prime Video service to JioFiber STB. Last year when Jio introduced the service, it came with several OTT services like Disney+Hotstar, Zee5, ALT Balaji, SunNXT, SonyLiv, YouTube, and other apps.
The only two services that were missing in the list were Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. Both of these services constitute the major OTT platforms share and it was not available on the platform. Now, Amazon Prime Video is finally available for users. But customers have to wait for some more time for them to bring Netflix support.
Jio is not offering any sort of complimentary Amazon Prime Video subscription to its customers. So, users are required to have an Amazon Prime Video subscription to access the content.
Apart from these, services from the house of Jio like JioTV, JioCinema, and JioSaavn are also available on the platform. Furthermore, all three of these services are free for all 370 million+ Jio customers all around the country.
JioFiber is still not available in a lot of regions in India. A couple of years back, Jio started testing the JioFiber services in serval cities like including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Surat, Vadodara, Chennai, Noida, Ghaziabad, Bhubaneshwar, Varanasi, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Surat, Agra, Meerut, Vizag, Lucknow, Jamshedpur, Haridwar, Gaya, Patna, Port Blair, etc. And later after the testing phase is done, Jio officially launched the services to more locations. But still, Jio is gradually rolling out its service to more locations.
JioFiber offers a minimum of 100Mbps speed and the base plan starts at Rs. 699 per month for 100Mbps speed with 100GB FUP limit. For more aggressive users and companies, there are two top-level pans Platinum and Titanium. The platinum plan offers 2,500GB of Data with 1GBps speed for Rs. 3,999 and Titanium plans come with 5,000GB of Data with 1Gbps speed for Rs. 8,499 per month.
