AMD has unveiled two new processors on its Ryzen 3 series. Both these chips are based on the new Zen 2 architecture and they are Ryzen 3 3100 and Ryzen 3 3300X. As per AMD, these chips can deliver twice the multitasking capabilities over previous generations.
These 2 new processors from team red are focused on creative workers and gamers by making use of ‘Simultaneous Multi-threading (SMT) technology to increase productivity.
“Games and applications are becoming more and more demanding, and with this, users are demanding more from their PCs,” said Saeid Moshkelani, senior vice president and general manager, client business unit. Both Ryzen 3 3100 and Ryzen 3300X are quad-core processors and eight-thread with a rated TDP of 65W. The new lineup of Ryzen 3 processors are aimed at bringing world-class desktop performance to mainstream gamers
The Ryzen 3100 comes with a base clock speed of 3.6GHz and a maximum boost frequency of 3.8GHz and the Ryzen 3 3300X comes with a base frequency of 3.9GHz and boost clock frequency of 4.3GHz.
The AMD Ryzen 3 3100 could deliver up to 20% gaming performance and 75% creator performance when compared with its competition.

The AMD Ryzen 3 3100 and Ryzen 3300X are expected to go on sale from May 21st. And here are the pricing details for the new Ryzen 3 processors.

- AMD Ryzen 3 3300X – $120
In addition to the new Ryzen 3 series processors, the company also unveiled it’s new AMD B550 chipset for AM4 socket. AMD B550 motherboards have support for PCIe 4.0. It is optimized for high-power performance in Gaming and multitasking. AMD B550 motherboards are expected to be available beginning June 16, 2020, from ODM partners including ASRock, ASUS, Biostar, Colorful, GIGABYTE, and MSI at leading retailers and etailers.
