Apple has announced a new revamped version of MacBook Air with an updated keyboard and performance boost. Apple has been getting lots and lots of complaints regarding the butterfly keyboard in their lineups of laptop and finally, Apple MacBook Air gets the much better and reliable Scissor switch keyboard which Apple call as “Magic Keyboard”.
It’s not just the keyboard that got updated, a bunch of other things has also improved under the hood. The new MacBook Air offers 2 times the performance than the previous version. New Air comes with 10th gen Intel processor up to a 1.2GHz quad-core Core i7 and delivers up to 80% improved graphics performance with the Intel Iris Plus Graphics. Now the storage options start from 256GB and go all the way up to 2TB. Earlier, the base storage capacity of MacBook Air was just 128GB.
As per Apple, the new Air laptop features an advanced stereo speaker for immersive, wide stereo sound for activities like watching Apple TV+ or playing games in Apple Arcade. But it’s not that great as the one that is available in the 16-inch MacBook Pro.
The base version of the New 2020 MacBook Air is priced at $999 and $899 for students and education customers.
The availability of the new laptop is still a bit confusing for customers. Following the Coronavirus outbreak, a majority of the retails stores are already closed. and customers will be able to order the updated lineup new devices including the 2020 MacBook Air, Mac Mini, and iPad Pro via the online store.
