New reports suggest that the new iPhone 9/SE 2 which is about to launch, might have a plus version with a 5.5inch screen. All the rumors and leaks were telling us about the normal 4.7 inch model of the iPhone, iPhone 9. But now, a new hint from the iOS 14 confirms iPhone 9 Plus with a much bigger 5.5-inch screen.
Popular website 9to5Mac found a code in iOS 14 confirming the chances of iPhone 9 and another version with a bigger display. Apart from the screen size, the code also confirms the same A13 Bionic chipset and a physical home screen button. It is to be noted that Apple is bringing back the old Touch ID instead of the newly launched FaceID which is much more expensive. For the same reason, it will spot a home screen button with an embedded fingerprint scanner like iPhone 7, 8. The phone is also expected to feature the same A13 Bionic chipset that is used in the latest lineups of iPhone 11 models including iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Apple 9 series will definitely spot Apple Pay and Express Transit. Express Transit can be used to pay in the go without having to authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID. Rumors suggest that the device will be named either iPhone 9 or iPhone SE2, we still don’t have a clear picture of that yet.
This device was earlier planned to launch in March but got delayed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Several other launch events and conferences have been either moved online or canceled for the same reason.
According to an Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, the device pricing is expected to be somewhere near $299 (Rs. 28,999). And this particular model of the device is expected to ship with 3GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard internal storage.
