Google Messages App Crossed 1 Billion Installations on the Google Play Store

google messages crossed 1 billions downloads in play store

Google Messages is the new app to join the long list of apps like YouTube, Search, Gmail, Drive, Chrome, Maps, etc that have more than 1 billion+ installations on the Google Play Store.

Google Messages just crossed the 1,000,000,000 downloads mark in the Google Play Store and is the only app that is not part of the Google Mobile Services to hit this milestone. This means that Google Messages won’t necessarily come pre-installed on every device. This is not the case with Gmail, Search, Maps, etc, these apps come pre-installed on pretty much every Android device with support for Google Mobile Services.

Google Messages is one of the best texting apps for Android. There are tons of features that will help the users to better text and use the app. Google has been constantly working hard to add new features and options to the app. As part of the same, the app had received many cool changes in the past.

Apart from all these, Google Messages is also one of the most secured Text messaging app out there. A feature called Verified SMS helps users to find the true identity behind a business that is sending text messages to the user.

The spam protection feature also worked well in the Google Messages app. The fined tuned algorithm of Google makes sure that you don’t see any unwanted or potentially harmful SMS in your inbox.

Google Messages is not readily installed on a majority of devices. It comes pre-installed on Google Pixel devices, Android One devices, and a bunch of other Android smartphones. However, it is not restricted just for these devices. Anyone could easily install the Google Messages app on their Android device from the Google Play Store.

If you are not that satisfied with the user-experience of the Messaging app that you are currently using, then you might want to give a shot to Google Messages.
