Finally, the Government of India has officially banned 59 Chinese apps including the most popular TikTok. From the past few days, it was rumored that the government is considering to ban almost 52 Chinese origin apps in India.
As per PIB, “This move will safeguard the interests of crores of Indian mobile and internet users. This decision is a targeted move to ensure safety and sovereignty of Indian cyberspace“

Apart from TikTok, some most popular file-sharing apps like Shareit and Xender is also banned. People are now forced to search for new alternatives for the apps and use them.
