How To Add Google Custom Search Box On Your Blogger Blog

Adding Google Custom Search Box in a blog makes users to easy navigate over the content in the blog by a or two click.Some of the Blogger template itself  will have a search box which is not powered by Google, When searched through such Search Box the details given by them will be not accurate.They won’t show every result coming under the searched keyword.
You can also add Alexa site metrics certificate to your blog without membership

Once you have added Google Custom Search Box in your blog and after someday, Simply enter your blog name in the search bar then you will find a stylish Search bar under your domain name(Make sure that your site is well crawled by Google)

There are many other ways you can make the Google Custom Search Box to suite your Blogger Template Theme, That means if your blog theme is based on Orange color you can customize the search box into a Orange one.

Let’s Start

Go to Google Custom Search page

Click on the blue button “create a custom search engine”

On the next page enter your site name, Search engine name and your website’s primary language,You can also add restriction for specific page in “Advanced Options”

Now next page appears with a congratulation page with three options like Get code ,Public URL and Control Panel

Click on the option Control Panel and you will be taken to the preference page of your specific search engine created where you can set settings

Now, Under your search engine name click on Look and Feel

Here you need to select the layout. Customize the theme, Customize and Thumbnails

In the Layout option you can select from many option that your search results should be visible In my case i use Overlay

and now click on Save and Get Code option, Now you will get some HTML tags which you should implement on you blogger blog

Add to Blogger Blog

1.Go to Dashboard > Layout > Add a Gadget and choose HTML/Javascript

2.In the space provided copy and paste the code that we get from CSE page

3.Now click on Save

Finally Done 🙂

Now visit your site and you will be able to see a Google search box in the side bar where you have added the code
