The much-awaited iPhone 9 has been spotted on an online e-commerce website in China. Ongoing rumors suggest that the device might be launched on April 15. A Chinese website Jd.com has accidentally listed the smartphone on its website. By the time of writing this article, the page has been already taken down by them.
From the details on the Chinese website, we can see it is called ‘iPhone 9 ‘ and not ‘iPhone SE 2’. The website did not provide any information like the specification, launch date or anything of that sort. Earlier some reports also suggested that the device will be launched on the 5th of April, but that did not happen.
Earlier, the case of a 4.7-inch iPhone was also leaked online and that refers to the base variant of iPhone 9 with a 4.7-inch screen.
Apple had initially planned to launch iPhone 9 on March 31st but it was postponed due to the outbreak of Coronavirus followed by lockdown announced in different countries. iPhone 9 will have the same design as that of the iPhone 8 and will feature the old iPhone home button with Touch ID for fingerprint recognition. There will be two variants of the device, one is a 4.7-inch version and the other one is a 5.5-inch version. It is also confirmed that the device will come with the latest A13 Bionic chipset, which is the same used in the iPhone 11 lineup. There will be two storage options, one with 64GB storage which is the base variant. The phone will also feature NFC for Apple Pay to support
The pricing is expected to be somewhere near $399 for the base variant with 64GB of storage.
