Jio has finally made JioMart available to the public after a few months of testing. Initially, it was only available in a few selected cities in Mumbai. But now it is officially launched and is available in more than 200 cities and and towns all across India.
JioMart is the company’s own grocery delivery service. It will help you buy daily essential items online via JioMart’s website. As of now, only the website is live. The company is working on a dedicated mobile app and we should get to see it shortly. For now, users have to rely on the website to buy daily essentials from JioMart.
The UI of the website is really good and works like a charm. As per the website, you could get at least Rs. 5 on the MRP of selected products.
As soon as you visit the website for the very first time, it will ask you to enter the Pin code to see if your location is serviceable. Just enter the pin code and hit enter. If your location is available then you can continue or else it will show a message like “We are currently not available at this location. Stay tuned!“.
With the introduction of JioMart, it will be a tight competition for industry dominated players like Amazon , BigBasket and Grofers.
As of now, it is only serviceable in selected cities. More places will be added in the future.
JioMart also comes with flexible payment options as well. You could either use digital wallets like JioMoney, Paytm, Mobikwik, etc or Debit /Credit Cards and Net Banking. Similarly, Cash on delivery payment mode is also available on the platform.
JioMart is also integrated with WhatsApp as well. You could place order directly via WhatsApp. For that you need to send message to the JioMart WhatsApp number.
