Mi TV Stick Launched in India; Comes with Android, Full HD Video Streaming Support

Similar to Firestick, Xiaomi has introduced Mi TV Stick which could convert any of your TV with an HDMI port into a smart TV. It comes with some cool features and supports major OTT platforms like Disney+ Hotstar, Prime Videos, and Netflix.

In terms of design, the looks are very similar to that of the Fire TV Stick. When it comes to the specification of Mi TV Stick, it is powered by a quad-core CPU which is coupled with up to 1GB of RAM and up to 8GB of internal storage. The Mi TV Stick also supports Dolby Audio and DTS Sound systems.

Along with the Mi TV Stick, you also get a dedicated Bluetooth Remote Control with shortcut keys to access Prime Videos and Netflix.

As Mi TVs come with the Patchwall interface, don’t expect this to come with the same. Mi TV Stick does not come with Patchwall.

As it is Android-based, it supports almost all apps available for Android TV. Even if the platform that you are looking for is not installed by default, you could get it installed on your device from the Google Play Store.

Mi TV Stick supports Full High Definition video playback at 60fps.

MIi TV Stick Pricing and Availability

Mi TV Stick is not launched in India yet. As of now, the global price for the device is EUR 39.99. When converted, it roughly translates to around Rs. 3,500.

When it comes to color variants, it is only available in black color. Both the device as well as the remote black in color for that matter.

Xiaomi did not announce any plans of launching it in India yet. We might want to wait for some time for Xiaomi to come up with an announcement.
