Back in February, Motorola unveiled the Razr foldable smartphone and it received a lot of criticism regarding the design and few other problems like bumps appearing on the screen.
Now the company is reportedly working on a new second-generation Motorola Razr foldable smartphone with 5G support.
Connecting all the dots from reports from Android Authority, 9to5Google, and XDADevelopers, the new phone will get a much better camera, bigger battery, and 5G support. It is also likely that there will be some design changes as well.
Second Generation Moto Razr Foldable Specs
As per the reports surfacing online, the second generation Motorola Razr Foldable might be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC, which is a 5G processor. 5G is the new flagship-level trend and Motorola goes with the same.
Coming to the camera department, a host of changes can be seen here as well. Earlier launched Motorola Razr came with a 16MP and 5MP inner camera. But this time it might get a 48MP camera and a 20MP inner camera instead of the 5MP sensor.
The battery side of the thing is also expected to get a change as well. It is expected that the new Motorola Razr will pack a 2,845mAh battery for improved battery life and performance. The original Motorola Razr only had a 2,510mAh battery for this matter.
Phone’s internals might also get some updates as well. The older version of the phone came with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The new one might get up to 8GB of RAM and almost double the storage, up to 256GB onboard storage.
It is still not confirmed if the second-generation Motorola Razr will get any design-wise changes but it is much likely.
As per Android Authority, this time the phone might be introduced by an executive from Lenovo. Lenovo’s South Africa general manager Thibault Dousson on a Podcast also confirmed that the new Razr foldable 2 is coming in September this year.
