Nubia has launched a new mid-range gaming smartphone with 5G support, Nubia Play. Up until now, Nubia only released a smartphone in the Red Magic flagship series. But now, they are bringing features like 144Hz display panel, 5G Support, quad camera, etc to a mid-level gaming phone. Nubia Play, the new smartphone from the company went live in China earlier today and let’s take a look at the features and price of the device.
Nubia Play Specifications
Nubia Play sports a 6.65-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a whopping 144Hz refresh rate. When it comes to the design of the device, it has a bezel on the top. As we have the bezel on top, popup selfies camera or punch hole are removed. The selfie camera and the speaker is placed on the top bezel. The design of the smartphone is almost similar to that of Red Magic 5G but the only thing is that RGB lighting is not present here. To the back, it comes with an iridescent gradient look.
To the rear, the phone sports a quad-camera setup with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120-degree field of view, a 2-megapixel macro lens and finally a 2-megapixel depth sensor. To the front, a 12-megapixel camera is placed at the top bezel.
Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s mid-range 5G chip, Snapdragon 765G with X52 5G modem. The smartphone gets up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. For the battery, it gets a 5,100 mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
As it is a gaming phone, it also gets a liquid cooling system with a 61mm cooling tube along with graphite gel and copper foil. Right of the box, the device comes with NubiaUI 8.0 on top of Android 10
Just last week, Nubia updated its logo with a new one and target smart lifestyle products.
