We have been hearing a lot about an affordable mid-range OnePlus smartphone for a while now and a new OnePlus device listed on GeekBench is believed to be the OnePlus Z.
Earlier it was expected that the company will announce three smartphones under the OnePlus 8 series – OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 Lite. But that didn’t happen. Then leaks started surfacing online about OnePlus Z.
As per the new listing on Geekbench, the OnePlus Z is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 765G SoC and could be paired with up to 12GB of RAM as well. The Geekbench listing of the smartphone comes with the codename ‘OnePlus AC2003’.
The phone managed to score a single-core score of 612 and a multi-core score of 1955. The results were updated on Geekbench on the 1st of June.
Expected Specification of OnePlus Z
Following the rumors and leaks, the phone is expected to feature a 6.5-inch OLED Display with a hole punch cut out (no popup selfie camera mechanism).
Under the hood, the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G paired with up to 12GB of RAM. Snapdragon 765G is a very capable processor that could deliver amazing results. Recent reports also suggest that the Pixel 5 might come with the same.
To the back, it might feature a triple camera setup. To the battery side of things, it is expected that the phone will comes with a 4,000mAh battery with support for Warp Charge 30T.
There is no official confirmation regarding the launch date or pricing of the device. But it is expected that the smartphone will hit the market somewhere in July this year. As for the pricing, it will be priced below OnePlus 8 for sure.
It will be first launched in the Indian market and then on other markets including the UK.
