Samsung started rolling out the latest version of the Android 10 update for it’s a most expensive and futuristic device, Galaxy Fold Smartphone. Users have already started receiving the update on their 4G version of the fold. 5G users didn’t get the update yet but will be rolled out in the coming days. Only users in France are now getting the update and no official confirmation regarding the update rollout procedure for other countries is announced.
The users in France will receive a firmware update version F900FXXU3BTCD for Fold devices. This particular firmware update is for 4G devices only. You get the latest Android 10 plus March 2020 security patches.
One UI 2.1 on top of Android 10 is delivered with this update and brings its own set of new features and options.
Samsung is already late to the party. Almost all other phones launched in that time period now have Android 10 and only now the Galaxy Fold is getting the same update. It’s such an expensive device at $2,000. Samsung should have rolled out the update at least a little earlier.
Galaxy Fold Users in other markets should also expect an update in the coming few weeks if not days. The OTA update is around the corner and will roll out in the near future.
