Rumour mills were telling us so much about the upcoming Surface Duo. Now even more leaks surfaces online and key specifications of the device, including processor, storage, RAM, screen size, design elements, etc are known.
All the information comes from a recent report by WindowsCentral.
Surface Duo Leaked Specifications
As per the leaks, the Surface Duo will feature a dual 5.6-inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1800 x 1350 and a 4:3 aspect ratio. One thing I noticed is the bezels. It looks like a device from early 2015. I mean the bezels are so big in this device.
The massive bezel could be seen from the render above and it houses an 11-megapixel camera, which can be used as both front as well as the rear camera.
Under the hood, the device is powered by older Snapdragon 855 and yes, you heard it right. The company is not even using the overclocked and much faster version of it (SD 855+). And the report also confirms that the device won’t have 5G support, so no X55 modem in the device. We might get to see up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage in the Surface Duo.
An Instagram user @panospanay has shared a photo taken from the 11-megapixel camera in the Surface Duo. Below you can find the quality of the image form the camera in Surface Duo.
Out of the box, the device comes with Android 10 with future Android 11 upgrade support. It also misses some features like NFC, wireless charging, etc.
Surface Duo draws its juice from a 3,460mAh battery. For a device of this sort, the battery might be a little lower.
It also gets physical fingerprint sensor to the side as well and no IP rating.
The launch date is not known as of now but we might get to see the device soon. As per WindowsCentral, an imminent launch can be expected.
