YouTube Added UPI Payment Option for Users in India

If you are planning to purchase YouTube Premium membership or do any sort of transaction on YouTube, there is a piece of good news for you. YouTube has added support for UPI payments to its platform. This payment option was added to YouTube on Wednesday and now transacting with YouTube is made even simpler.

YouTube already had the Credit card and debit card support and finally, it gets UPI support, too. You may also use Google Play Credits or coupons in addition to these payment methods. The majority of users in India use UPI to do daily transactions like sending money to friends or family members, pay at a store, etc. It is one of the most preferred methods for quick payment. There are tons of UPI apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.

With the newly added UPI option, users will be able to purchase not only YouTube Premium Membership but the same option can be used to do various other transactions like Super stickers, Superchat, Channel membership, etc. Apart from these, you could also subscribe to the YouTube Music Premium subscription as well. It will support all UPI apps in India like BHIM, GPay, PhonePe, Mobikwik UPI, Freecharge UPI, etc. You may also rent or purchase movies from YouTube as well.

YouTube is making things easier for people nowadays and recently they also made some other premium original shows for free for a limited period. You can go ahead and watch this content for free before they become paid again. The UPI payment method is by far the most simple method in India to do the payment online. If you were about to use your Credit card or debit card then every time you should type your card number, name, expiry date, CVV, then you need to OTP verification, it’s just such a long process, With UPI, just type in the UPI ID, approve the payment from the UPI app and you are all good to go. You might also get rewarded for every transaction you make with some popular UPI apps like GPay and Amazon UPI.
